Valita, Golden Fernanda and Scarecrow Tiger were slow to begin. Bacardi Breezer, Stylish Chief and Golden Fernanda collided approaching the first turn checking Bacardi Breezer. Dynastic Ruler and Chum's Special collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Golden Fernanda eased approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Grindley, the trainer of the greyhound Golden Fernanda regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Golden Fernanda  was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the flexor tendon and right front paw, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Golden Fernanda with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Grindley pleaded guilty to the charge, Golden Fernanda was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. T. Duncan trainer of All Inn Baz declared a new weight of 32.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). All Inn Baz last raced at 31.3kg.

Layback Cruiser was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Pat Malone was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained superficial scratches to the left hind limb. No stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results - (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Stefanos, the trainer of Supervisor regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Supervisor last raced on 24th May 2017. Mr. Stefanos stated that the greyhound was resuming racing from having a back muscle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Supervisor trialled over the 390mt from box 1, weight 31.2kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.52, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3L. Supervisor was cleared.

(GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Stefanos, the trainer of Berridale Buddie regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Berridale Buddie last raced on 17th January 2018. Mr. Stefanos stated that the greyhound was resuming racing from having a triangle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Berridale Buddie trialled over the 390mt from box 1, weight 36.0kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.52, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.5L. Berridale Buddie was cleared. 

Chatterbox Laura trialled over the 390mt from box 1, weight 25.9kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.52, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.75L. Chatterbox Laura was cleared.

(GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Waycott, the trainer of Moyarra Eclipse regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Moyarra Eclipse last raced on 24th October 2017. Mr. Stefanos stated that the greyhound was resuming racing from having a monkey muscle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Moyarra Eclipse trialled over the 390mt from box 1, weight 29.3kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.52, the greyhound won by a margin of 3L. Moyarra Eclipse was cleared.
