Midnight Mystery was slow to begin. Slew Left and Pandaken collided soon after the start. Slew Left and Miss Malaysia collided in the back straight, checking Miss Malaysia. Tigers Gold checked off Miss Malaysia on the second turn. Slew Left and Miss Malaysia collided approaching the home turn, checking Slew Left. Midnight Mystery checked off Pandaken in the home straight. Unmistakable and Kraken Katie collided in the home straight, checking Unmistakable.
Kraken Katie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, and an abrasion to the lleft hind toe, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. N. Jones, the handler of Kraken Katie regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
