Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr David Graham, the trainer of Reese Bobby, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Reese Bobby last raced on 6 May 2018. Mr Graham stated that the greyhound was returning to racing and was new to the kennel.
A pre-race sample was taken from Reese Bobby.
Tomassi, Chief Siyan and Kraken Roger were slow to begin and collided soon after the start, checking Tomassi. Shorty George, Reese Bobby, Starbright Toby and Absolute Dream collided approaching the first turn, checking Reese Bobby. Shorty George and Starbright Toby collided approaching the home turn. Chief Siyan and Kraken Roger collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.
Reese Bobby was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to handler, Mr Troy Ploeger regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound, Reese Bobby. Stewards directed that Reese Bobby be boxed first in future events.
