Aztec Warrior and Ruby's Rosa collided soon after the start. Merl's Michu and Matesy's Girl collided soon after the start, checking Matesy's Girl which raced wide as a result. Matesy's Girl and Aztec Warrior collided approaching the 150m mark. Janray Flash and Terrah Round collided approaching the winning post.
Merl's Michu was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
