A false start was declared under GAR 56 on the initial attempt to start this race as a rabbit was sighted in the vicinity of the home turn. All greyhounds were removed from the starting boxes and examined by the veterinary surgeon. All greyhounds were passed fit to start. The track was cleared and the race commenced approximately four minutes after the scheduled starting time.
Yaritza Allen crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Newtown Angel, Blackpool Remi and Dyna Fiver. Yaritza Allen, Blackpool Remi, Hey Fernando, and Dyna Fiver collided approaching the first turn checking Blackpool Remi and Dyna Fiver. Yaritza Allen checked off Dusky Dominance on the first turn. Whizzing checked off Newtown Angel on the first turn. Newtown Angel checked off Cash No Bounce approaching the home turn. Blackpool Remi and Dyna Fiver collided on the home turn.
