Steward's Report
Crackerjack Skip and My Bro Lewis were slow to begin.
Champagne Luxe and Princess Pout collided approaching the first turn. Champagne Luxe, Princess Pout and Fab Reiko collided on the first turn. Champagne Luxe checked off Princess Pout on the second turn checking Fab Reiko and My Bro Lewis. My Bro Lewis eased and failed to pursue the lure on the third turn, severely checking Champagne Luxe. My Bro Lewis veered out and marred Champagne Luxe on the home turn checking Champagne Luxe. Crackerjack Skip and Kouta Mayhem collided on the home turn. Lyka Skywalker and Dyna Zesty collided entering the home straight. Fab Reiko and Dyna Zesty collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
My Bro Lewis was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to both deltoids. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Dapiran, the trainer of the greyhound My Bro Lewis regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged My Bro Lewis with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Dapiran pleaded guilty to the charge, My Bro Lewis was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
