Alon, Ninety Proof, Shady Tex and Extra Gear collided approaching the second turn checking Shady Tex and Extra Gear. Extra Gear lost ground entering the back staright checking My Hardaway Hana. Ninety Proof and Shady Tex collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Sale Graze Bindi raced wide entering the home straight. Ninety Proof and Shady Tex collided approaching the winning post.

Extra Gear was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind split webbing and left hind sesamoid injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Notorious Mac and Go Seek Fernando were quick to begin. Midnight Starlet and Dyna Carnie were slow to begin.

Go Seek Fernando and Miss Splendamiro collided approaching the first turn. Midnight Starlet checked off Dyna Yezza aproaching the first turn. Notorious Mac and Go Seek Fernando collided on the first turn. Zipping Falcon clipped the heels of Go Seek Fernando on the first turn. Dyna Yezza, Dyna Carnie and Mepunga Bella collided on the first turn. Midnight Starlet checked off Go Seek Fernando in the back straight. Zipping Falcon and Go Seek Fernando collided on the third turn checking Go Seek Fernando and Mepunga Bella.

Crackerjack Skip and My Bro Lewis were slow to begin.

Champagne Luxe and Princess Pout collided approaching the first turn. Champagne Luxe, Princess Pout and Fab Reiko collided on the first turn. Champagne Luxe checked off Princess Pout on the second turn checking Fab Reiko and My Bro Lewis. My Bro Lewis eased and failed to pursue the lure on the third turn, severely checking Champagne Luxe. My Bro Lewis veered out and marred Champagne Luxe on the home turn checking Champagne Luxe. Crackerjack Skip and Kouta Mayhem collided on the home turn. Lyka Skywalker and Dyna Zesty collided entering the home straight. Fab Reiko and Dyna Zesty collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post. 

My Bro Lewis was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to both deltoids. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Dapiran, the trainer of the greyhound My Bro Lewis regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged My Bro Lewis with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Dapiran pleaded guilty to the charge, My Bro Lewis was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Huxley was scratched on 7 November 2018 after Stewards from GRNSW entered information into Ozchase regarding the greyhounds start at Richmond GRC on 31 August 2018. An inquiry will be held on Tuesday 13 November 2018 by GRV Stewards regarding the greyhounds eligibility to have competed in its 3 previous Victorian race starts.  Acting under GAR 92(5) no nomination will be accepted pending the outcome of this inquiry. 

Barooga Brett was quick to begin. Give Me Wings, Verne Allen and Mepunga Prue were slow to begin.

Bourbski Bar and Feikuai Donna collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Verne Allen and Give Me Wings collided approaching the first turn. Feikuai Donna and Mepunga Prue collided on the first turn. Bourbski Bar and Feikuai Donna collided approaching the second turn checking Bourbski Bar and Verne Allen.

Kinloch Moss, Aston It Is and Wise Piquet collided approaching the first turn. All Inn Baz checked off Dyna Artist on the first turn checking Aston It Is and Wise Piquet. All Inn Baz checked off Kinloch Moss on the second turn. All Inn Baz raced wide in the home straight.

Orazzi Ohh, Mepunga Zeus and Shadale collided soon after the start checking Mepunga Zeus. Shadale and Dyna Hadria collided on the first turn. Orazzi Ohh and Loch Tight collided on the second turn checking Orazzi Ohh and Mepunga Zeus, Mepunga Zeus fell as a result. Shadale and Dyna Hadria collided on the second turn checking Dyna Hadria. 

Mepunga Zeus was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right thigh. A 7 day stand down perod was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Frida Monelli upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Emerald Rainbow was quick to begin. Myrniong Corner was slow to begin.

Frida Monelli crossed out soon after the start checking Italian Plastic, Hecton Bale, Rixy Ya Pest and Oakvale Warrior. Frida Monellia checked off Waleonjon on the first turn severely checking Italian Plastic, Hecton Bale, Rixy Ya Pest and Frida Monelli, Frida Monelli stumbled and lost ground as a result. 

Frida Monelli was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right pencil muscle and both shoulder muscles and a spike wound to the right hind toe. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Duke was slow to begin. Vanda Mick and Immen Bale collided soon after the start. Spring Bridge and Winnie Allen collded on the first turn. Go Seek Heidi and Aston Duke collided approaching the second turn. Squishy Pea contacted the running rail on the third turn. Oakvale Magic crossed to the outside approaching the winning post. 

Aston Duke was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left wrist and both deltoid muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Bogan Doonie was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Ice Cool Kaedyn was slow to begin. Go Commando, Zipping Mitzy and Kiarni Tiger collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Kiarni Tiger, causing Zipping Mitzy to race wide, checking Ice Cool Kaedyn as a result. Ash Star clipped the heels of Rockstar Toovey on the home turn, causing Ash Star and Mossimo Bale to collide. Go Commando and Bogan Doonie collided entering the home straight. Go Commando and Kiarni Tiger collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Minowski (NSW), catcher of Zipping Mitzy and reminded him of his responsibilities in regards to the Victorian dress code, LR22.

Mi Blue Day was slow to begin. Wise Ricciardo and Blackjack Neo collided soon after the start. Blackjack Neo, Degani and Mi Blue Day collided on the first turn checking Rowchester Miss. Degani galloped on Mi Blue Day entering the back straight checking both greyhounds. Wise Ricciardo and Blackjack Neo colliced approaching the home turn. 

A sample was taken from Black Opium - the winner of the event. 

Urban Bourbon was a late scratching at 6:32pm due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. G. Sciortino was fined the sum of $100.

Zipping Chaser and Oshkosh Uni Chet were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Dyna Harpa checked off Dr. Mortikye approaching the home turn.

Stewards removed the 28 day stand down penalty on receipt of evidence from Mr G Sciortino the trainer of Urban Bourban regarding the Non Arrival  of the greyhound for this race.
