French Defence and Banjo Fever collided soon after the start, checking French Defence. Spring Me and Banjo Fever collided approaching the first turn, checking Spring Me, Sweet Strike and Logistic Kid. Logistic Kid and Sweet Strike collided approaching the home turn, checking Logistic Kid. French Defence and Swift Trent collided approaching the winning post.
Logistic Kid was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left foreleg monkey muscle and left hindleg stifle injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
