Dyna Yano and Perfect Piper were quick to begin. Double What, Temps Lilo and Good One Carl collided soon after the start checking Temps Lilo. Good One Carl checked off Dyna Yano approaching the first turn. Double What, Dyna Yano and Good One Carl collided on the first turn checking Dyna Yano, Good One Carl and Blueflash Lenny. Good One Carl checked off Dyna Yano approaching the home turn. Perfect Piper and Aston Polec collided approaching the home turn. Perfect Piper and Aston Polec collided on the home turn. Aston Polec eased entering the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Ms. V. Wisener, the trainer of the greyhound Aston Polec regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Aston Polec was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 4, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Aston Polec with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Wisener pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Polec was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
