Steward's Report
Darcon Flash and Stealthy Flight were quick to begin. Jen's Magic, Missy Meghan, Angie and Wyaxehi were slow to begin.
Casper's Fantasy and Stealthy Flight collided on the first turn, checking Stealthy Flight and severely checking Missy Meghan and Wyaxehi. Missy Meghan and Wyaxehi collided approaching the home turn, checking Wyaxehi and causing Missy Meghan to fall. Angie and Casper's Fantasy collided entering the home straight, checking Stealthy Flight and Casper's Fantasy. Stealthy Flight and Jen's Magic collided approaching the winning post.
Missy Meghan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey) and tensor fascia (triangle) muscles. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.
Wyaxehi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left front foot. A three-day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Ian Anderson regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Stealthy Flight. Stewards directed that Stealthy Flight be boxed first in future events.
