Avatar Vixen crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Galactic Cat, Big Sam Marjen and Middle Chic, severely checking Jack Get Back and Middle Chic; causing Middle Chic to fall as a result. Deacon Downs checked off Avatar Vixen approaching the home turn. Big Sam Marjen checked off Oakvale Striker approaching the home turn. Deacon Downs and Big Sam Marjen collided in the home straight. Artistic Genius and Avatar Vixen collided approaching the winning post.
Middle Chic was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Jack Get Back was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg triangle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
