Pre-race samples were taken from Especial Shiraz and Amigo upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Dyna Uni was quick to begin. Mira's Potion and Seabrook Gem were slow to begin. Especial Shiraz, Knocka Feller and Raine Allen collided approaching the first turn. Especial Shiraz and Knocka Feller collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Seabrook Gem and Especial Shiraz collided on the home turn severely checking Especial Shiraz and Knocka Feller. Mira's Potion and Amigo collided approaching the winning post.
