Steward's Report
Buster Norris was a late scratching at 7.42pm due to a sesamoid injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards accepted the explanation from trainer S. Gibson regarding the late scratching of the greyhound.
A pre-race sample was taken from Ima Mystery Girl.
Gypsy Gillies was slow to begin.
Sweet Bourbski and Empty Chamber collided soon after the start, checking Empty Chamber. Gypsy Gillies raced wide on the first turn. Ima Mystery Girl checked off Zelzer Allen on the second turn. Gypsy Gillies faltered and pulled up approaching the home turn.
Gypsy Gillies was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tarsal fracture of the right hock and a spike wound to the right front foot. A 90-day stand down period was imposed.
