Supplementary Report for Horsham 28 June 2018.

A post-mortem examination of Kiss Me Boss was conducted by The University of Melbourne following its death shortly after the running of Race 7. The greyhound was reported to have suffered an exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrhage and a skull fracture.

Race 1 - 17 July 2018:

Crymelon Phantom and Crymelon Victory were quick to begin.  Lucina Motief checked off Crymelon Zest entering the home straight, checking Play That Song.  Lucina Motief and Play That Song collided in the home straight.  Crymelon Victory checked off Crymelon Phantom approaching the winning post.

A sample was taken from Jack Get Back - the winner of the event.

Magic Milly was quick to begin.  Lobster Hill and Aston Lagonda collided on the first turn, checking Lobster Hill.  Lobster Hill and Pyrenees Blaze collided approaching the home turn.  Iceni Sailor galloped on the heels of Rogue One approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.  Magic Milly and Aston Lagonda collided in the home straight.

Rogue One was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A sample was taken from Big Sam Marjen - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Shark Tank.

Faraday and Carlanna Casey were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Arnie Allen and Crikey Creeky collided approaching the first turn, checking Crikey Creeky.  Faraday and Crikey Creeky collided approaching the home turn, checking Crikey Creeky.  Gotta Wobble Up, Faraday, Kraken Jane Babe and Shark Tank collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Shark Tank and Faraday; both greyhounds fell as a result.

Shark Tank was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Faraday was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained neck brusing, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Ms Jennifer Torr, trainer of I'm All One, declared a new weight of 35.4 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  I'm All One last raced at 36.5 kgs.

Tashendo was quick to begin.  Theatrics Show, I'm All One, Dyna Nancy and Where's Jamal collided approaching the first turn, checking Where's Jamal.  Tashendo checked off I'm All One approaching the home turn, checking Bank Rogue.  Where's Jamal galloped on the heels of Dyna Nancy approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.  Princess Marjen checked off Tashendo on the home turn; Princess Marjen raced wide as a result.

A sample was taken from Theatrics Show - the winner of the event.

When questioned regarding the improved performance of Theatrics Show, Trainer Mr Clint Capuano stated that the greyhound suited an inside box in today's event. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Dyna Yella.

Dyna Yella was quick to begin.  Mepunga Kyran and Test Pilot collided soon after the start, checking Test Pilot.  Balance and Dyna Yella collided approaching the home turn, checking Balance, Mepunga Kyran, Two Seasons, Arcup Usain and Mahjong Heat.  Railway Burra, Mepunga Kyran, Mahjong Heat and Two Seasons collided approaching the home turn, checking all four greyhounds.

Nitro Value and Good Luck Mark were slow to begin.  Nitro Value and Quest For Glory collided approaching the home turn, checking Quest For Glory and Head Loch.  Good Luck Mark checked off Head Loch approaching the home turn.  Go Barny Go checked off Telefork approaching the winning post.

A sample was taken from Poor Old Frank - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Air Commander.

Jacobite Joseph went up with the lids and was very slow to begin (5L).  Kraken Copper and Cindy La Moment collided approaching the first turn.  Air Commander and Cindy La Moment collided approaching the home turn, checking Cindy La Moment.  Spirit Bar and Hayley's Style collided entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds.  Ginger Road checked off Jacobite Joseph in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Reality Hawk.

El Grand Knocka was slow to begin.  El Grand Knocka, Reality Hawk and Rig Fifty Five collided soon after the start, checking Reality Hawk and El Grand Knocka.  Pants On Fire and Amigo One collided on the first turn.  Rig Fifty Five checked off Mr Worldwide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Big Flash Marjen.

Crymelon Rip was quick to begin.  Golden Sunrise was slow to begin.  Big Flash Marjen and Destini Peso collided approaching the first turn, checking Big Flash Marjen.  Cindy's Mate, Crymelon Rip, Sukhoi Su, Destini Peso and Mick's Advice collided on the first turn, checking Cindy's Mate, Destini Peso and Crymelon Rip.  Cindy's Mate checked off Crymelon Rip approaching the home turn.  Big Flash Marjen raced wide in the home straight.

The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes, due to holding for a Shepparton harness race.

Bear Left and Pillar Creek were slow to begin.  Cee Hannah Rose and Swiftly Swift collided soon after the start, checking Cee Hannah Rose.  Swiftly Swift and Just Banji collided approaching the first turn.  Just Banji and Hot Devil collided on the home turn.  Pillar Creek checked off Swiftly Swift in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Tubark.

Xerox Letter was quick to begin.  Kokoda Dreamin' was slow to begin.  Tubark and Kokoda Dreamin' collided approaching the home turn.  Xerox Letter checked off Mepunga Billy in the home straight.  Xerox Letter and Billy Bart collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr Neville Vincent, the trainer of Moneypenny, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Moneypenny last raced on 1 March 2018.  Mr Vincent  stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an extended spell.

A pre-race sample was taken from Alpha Midas.

Moneypenny was slow to begin.  Moneypenny and Run Ronnie Run collided on the first turn.  Cee Righty and Billy Moran collided in the home straight.  Night Theory and Alpha Midas collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Ms V Giles, the trainer of the greyhound Night Theory, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Night Theory was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to an abrasion to the head, left hindleg triangle and groin injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Night Theory with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms Giles pleaded guilty to the charge, Night Theory was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
