A pre-race sample was taken from Shultz's A Rebel upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Fabredust was quick to begin.
Swift Chief and Gunna Be Hoping collided approaching the first turn. Aztec Warrior, Miss Springer, Swift Chief and Gunna Be Hoping collided on the first turn, checking Aztec Warrior and severely checking Gunna Be Hoping. Swift Chief and Miss Springer collided on the home turn.
Gunna Be Hoping was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
