Steward's Report
Tracking vests were used in this event.
Nimble Foot and Schatzie Armo were slow to begin. Siamese Dream crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Double Que, Schatzie Armo and Nimble Foot. Double Que checked off Miriam on the first turn, checking Siamese Dream and Schatzie Armo. Silvio Dante raced wide in the home straight. Siamese Dream veered in and marred Schatzie Armo approaching the winning post.
Siamese Dream was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg torn nail, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr James Rudd, the handler of the greyhound Siamese Dream, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Siamese Dream with marring. Mr Rudd pleaded guilty to the charge, Siamese Dream was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
