Stewards spoke to Mr B.Merton, the trainer of Cheeky Fireball regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Cheeky Fireball last raced on 20 March, 2018. Mr Merton stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a change of trainer.

Black Trasure was quick to begin. Bally Jamesduff and Cheeky Fireball collided soon after the start. Charlie Mac and Ace Victorem collided approaching the first turn. Stewards spoke toMs. S. Doust, the trainer of the greyhound Gidgee's Boss regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Gidgee's Boss was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and left groin. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Gidgee's Boss with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms. Doust pleaded guilty to the charge, Gidgee's Boss was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform aSatisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.
