Jacobite Joseph was very slow to begin (5L). Gidgee's Boss, Five Times Table and Special Drop collided soon after the start. Go Natalie Go, Paid Too Much and Chiseller collided approaching the first turn. Five Times Table and Special Drop collided approaching the first turn. Go Natalie Go and Chiseller collided on the first turn checking Chiseller. Five Times Table and Special Drop collided on the first turn. Gidgee's Boss eased approaching the home turn. Paid Too Much and Jacobite Joseph collided entering the home straight.
Stewards spoke toMs. S. Doust, the trainer of the greyhound Gidgee's Boss regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Gidgee's Boss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and left groin. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Gidgee's Boss with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Doust pleaded guilty to the charge, Gidgee's Boss was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform aSatisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
