Steward's Report
Mr. I.Cockerell, trainer of Gregorovitch declared a new weight of 40.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Gregorovitch last raced at 39.3kg.
A pre race sample was taken from Dyna Bitey.
Rebecca Bale and Striker Light were quick to begin. Bomber's Return and Dyna Bitey collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Bitey. Gregorovitch, Lady Avenger and Bomber's Return collided approaching the first turn, checking Bomber's Return and Lady Avenger. Gregorovitch, Lady Avenger and Bomber's Return collided approaching the home turn, checking Gregorovitch and Lady Avenger. Gregorovitch and Lady Avenger collided approaching the home turn. Racketeer raced wide on the home turn. Rebecca Bale and Pants On Fire collided on the home turn. Lady Avenger and Dyna Bitey collided entering the home straight. Gregorovitch failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight and collided with Bomber's Return as a result.
Gregorovitch was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms.L. Cockerell, the handler of the greyhound Gregorovitch regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Gregorovitch with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Cockerell pleaded not guilty to the charge, Gregorovitch was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
