Often Imitated was quick to begin.  Bula Bang Bang was slow to begin.

Lorenza and Blue Shadows collided several times on the first turn.  Barnhurst faltered and subsequently pulled up on the first turn due to injury.  Bula Bang Bang and Miss Malaysia collided on the first turn. Lorenza and Axel Footluce collided on the second turn.  Axel Footluce checked off Lorenza and collided heavily with Blue Shadows on the second turn, checking Blue Shadows and Axel Footluce.  

Barnhurst was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain, right deltoid and trapezius injuries, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Uringa, Swanny Flyer and Nimble Foot were slow to begin.

Dyna Bitey and Mahi Indian collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds causing Dyna Bitey to race wide checking Beau Gem and Swanny Flyer as a result.  Mahi Indian and Uringa collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Dyna Bitey shifted out on the second turn and raced wide in the back straight.  Swanny Flyer checked off Nimble Foot on the third turn.  Nimble Foot checked off Folding Green entering the home straight.

Swanny Flyer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Rockstar Toovey was quick to begin.  Vanda Mick and Dyna Evelyn were slow to begin.

Juniper Pearl and Rockstar Toovey collided soon after the start.  Pants On Fire crossed out approaching the first turn checking Vanda Mick and Dyna Evelyn.  Dewana Express, Cavatron and Juniper Pearl collided on the first turn checking Juniper Pearl.  Pants On Fire and Vanda Mick collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Dewana Express checked off Cavatron in the back straight.  Juniper Pearl, Vanda Mick and Cruisy's Rose collided on the third turn severely checking Juniper Pearl checking Vanda Mick.  Pants On Fire checked off Juniper Pearl on the home turn. 

Juniper Pearl was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right deltoid injury and right shoulder soreness, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Lila Bale, Black Impala and Flying Flyer were quick to begin.  Dyna Chill was slow to begin.

Black Impala and Tornado Tears collided soon after the start.  Tornado Tears and Flying Flyer collided on the first turn.  Flying Flyer shifted out and raced wide through the second turn.  Tornado Tears was held up and then railed, approaching the home turn.  Lila Bale crossed in on the home turn.

Big Bang Tears was quick to begin.

Shadale, Tritt Tritt and Dyna Chancer collided soon after the start.  Hazelwood Flyer, Dyna Gertie and Rowchester Miss collided approaching the first turn.  Rowchester Miss galloped on Tritt Tritt approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Shadale and Dyna Chancer collided several times on the first turn and several times again, on the second turn.  Rowchester Miss and Dyna Chancer collided on the third turn.  Tritt Tritt and Dyna Chancer collided on the fourth turn.  Hazelwood Flyer and Dyna Gertie collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Rowchester Miss checked off Dyna Gertie on the home turn. 

Dyna Chancer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right shoulder muscle injury and a left hind cracked toe nail, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Post-race samples were taken from placegetters - Out Of Range (1st) and Big Bang Tears (2nd).

Stewards spoke with trainers Joe Borg and Glenn Dainton during kennelling in regard to the bonafides of Van Ann after kennel transfers occurred in quick succession for Van Ann in the lead-up to this race and the geographical locations of these trainers.  It was submtted that Van Ann was transferred to the Dainton kennels as Mr Borg intends to take some time-off training shortly and his intention is for Van Ann to continue racing through this period of absence. This was to be a more permanent arrangement but Van Ann failed to settle into the new kennel environment and was returned to the Borg property forthwith. 

Van Ann and Winnie Allen were quick to begin.  Fernando Express was slow to begin.

Sisco Ride and Dyna Carnie collided soon after the start.  Van Ann and Winnie Allen collided soon after the start.  Fernando Express galloped on Dutch Legacy approaching the first turn.  Dyna Carnie and Dutch Legacy collided approaching the first turn.  So It Goes and Hecton Bale collided several times approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Sisco Ride and Winnie Allen collided on the first turn.  Dyna Carnie shifted out sharply on the first turn.  Van Ann and Hecton Bale collided on the second turn.  Dutch Legacy checked off Winnie Allen on the third turn.  Van Ann checked off Hecton Bale on the third turn.  Sisco Bale and Fernando Express collided on the fourth turn.  Dyna Carnie and So It Goes collided approaching the home turn.  Winnie Allen and Dutch Legacy collided approaching the home turn.  Winnie Allen and So It Goes collided approaching the home turn.  Sisco Ride and Fernando Express collided on the home turn.  Winnie Allen checked off So It Goes on the home turn.  Sisco Ride and Fernando Express raced tightly and collided in the home straight.  Hecton Bale tired over the concluding stages.

Roger Express, Dyna Dean and Soda Flash collided soon after the start.  Dyna Dean checked off Soda Flash on the first turn.  Dyna Zesty, Roger Express and Soda Flash collided on the first turn.  Roger Express, Rockstar Patriot, Dyna Dean and Soda Flash collided on the second turn checking Neo Cleo.  Roger Express and Soda Flash collided on the third turn checking Soda Flash.

Dyna Oscar was slow to begin.

My Redeemer and King Colt collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Dyna Oscar and King Colt collided approaching the first turn.  Dr. Mino and My Redeemer collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds checking Dyna Oscar which raced wide as result.  Dr. Mino and My Redeemer collided on the second turn checking My Redeemer.  Dr. Mino, My Redeemer and King Colt collided in the back straight checking My Redeemer and King Colt.  My Redeemer and King Colt collided approaching the home turn checking King Colt.  Poke The Bear and Waleonjon collided entering the home straight.

Zipping Bomber was slow to begin.

Trixta Rox and Ice Cold Yug collided soon after the start.  Noaki Colour and Slingshot Hammer collided soon after the start.  Zipping Bomber and Noaki Colour collided approaching the first turn.  Noaki Colour and Ice Cold Yug collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Zipping Bomber checked off Trixta Rox on the second turn.  Our Didda raced wide in the back straight.  Zipping Bomber and Loaded collided entering the home straight. Our Didda raced wide in the home straight. 

Sisco Dun was a late scratching at 5.07pm due to non arrival (GAR 31). Kennel Representative Mr John Galea was fined $250 under GAR 31 for failing to present Sisco Dun by the appointed time. Another greyhound of similar appearance was presented in error by Mr Galea.

Doc's Reward was quick to begin.  Hit The Highway and Straitline Willy were slow to begin.

Especial Shiraz and Small Rose collided approaching the first turn.  Light The Track checked off Especial Shiraz on the first turn.  Doc's Reward and Ishmy Girl collided on the third turn.  Ishmy Girl checked off Doc's Reward on the fourth turn.

Dava Supreme was quick to begin.  Gehring Bale was slow to begin.

Crackerjack Nath and Barooga Brett collided soon after the start.  My Bro Regis, Dava Supreme and Khaleesi Girl collided approaching the first turn.  Khaleesi Girl checked off Barooga Brett on the first turn.  Khaleesi Girl checked off Zipping Monty on the second turn checking Crackerjack Nath.  Gehring Bale and Blackjack Neo raced wide in the back straight.

Deliver was slow to begin.

On The Runway and Spectra Style collided soon after the start.  Lakeview Maisey and Dyna Hadria collided soon after the start.  Spectra Style, Lakeview Maisey and Zipping Buck collided on the first turn checking Lakeview Maisey.  Spectra Style, Zipping Buck and Deliver collided on the first turn.  Lakeview Maisey checked off Zipping Buck on the second turn.  Zipping Buck checked off Deliver entering the back straight.  Lakeview Maisey crossed to the outside entering the back straight and raced wide for the remainder of the event.  On The Runway, Chew The Fat and Deliver collided on the home turn checking On The Runway.
