Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. McDonnell, the trainer of Goodfella regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Goodfella last raced on 28-March-18. Mr McDonnell stated that the greyhound was resuming racing from a back muscle injury. Mr. Mc Donnell also declared a new weight of 32.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Goodfella last raced at 33.4kg.
Blistering Betty, Tankalicious and Ben Roman were slow to begin.
All About Now and Shazza Weetbix collided soon after the start. Ace Victorem and Blistering Betty collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Shazza Weetbix crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Tankalicious and All About Now and severely checking Ben Roman which fell as a result tailed off. Tankalicious and Ace Victorem collided approaching the home turn checking Ace Victorem. Blistering Betty and All About Now collided approaching the home turn checking All About Now.
Ben Roman was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left elbow. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
All About Now was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
