Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Injector.
Injector shifted in soon afte the start, checking Bronelly Jet and Duce Royal. Injector, Kiowa Kaema and Maximum Jan collided approaching the first turn, checking Kiowa Kaema. Injector, Maximum Jan and Belt Up Bubbs collided on the first turn, checking Injector and Maximum Jan. Kiowa Kaema checked off Bronelly Jet approaching the home turn.
Duce Royal was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that the greyhound a right hindleg pencil/whip injury, a five day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Mark Giddings, the trainer of the greyhound Duce Royal. Stewards deemed the performance of Duce Royal unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Duce Royal must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A sample was taken from Italian Plastic - the winner of the event.
