Newtown Flyer was quick to begin. Heartstring was slow to begin. Ball Of Steel crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Murrabit Sammy and Coyote. Goldenpaw Buzz and Ball Of Steel collided approaching the first turn, checking Ball Of Steel. Speedway Lass checked off Ringcraft on the first turn. Heartstring checked off Coyote on the home turn. Goldenpaw Buzz crossed to the outside entering the home straight and clipped the heels of Ball Of Steel. Coyote and Heartstring collided several times in the home straight. Speedway Lass, Ringcraft and Ball Of Steel collided in the home straight, checking Ringcraft and Speedway Lass.
Heartstring was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
