Destini Drummer was quick to begin.  Dyna Ianto, Cruisy's Patch, Redhead Chez and Sweet Ambush collided approaching the first turn, checking Cruisy's Patch and Redhead Chez.  Cruisy's Patch checked off Dyna Ianto on the first turn, checking Redhead Chez.  Miss Fagan checked off Runnin' Chapta on the first turn.  Sweet Ambush checked off Dyna Ianto approaching the home turn.  Cruisy's Patch checked off Sweet Ambush entering the home straight, causing Sweet Ambush to race wide.

Mr Adrian Kenyon trainer of Newtown Flyer, declared a new weight of 26.1 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Newtown Flyer last raced at 24.9 kgs. 

Newtown Flyer was quick to begin.  Heartstring was slow to begin.  Ball Of Steel crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Murrabit Sammy and Coyote.  Goldenpaw Buzz and Ball Of Steel collided approaching the first turn, checking Ball Of Steel.  Speedway Lass checked off Ringcraft on the first turn.  Heartstring checked off Coyote on the home turn.  Goldenpaw Buzz crossed to the outside entering the home straight and clipped the heels of Ball Of Steel.  Coyote and Heartstring collided several times in the home straight.  Speedway Lass, Ringcraft and Ball Of Steel collided in the home straight, checking Ringcraft and Speedway Lass.

Silent Sandy, which escaped during kennelling and ran a short distance before being recaptured, was examined by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to race.

Fairly Legal, Octo Flash and Smokey Jake were slow to begin.  Galloping Nikki, Blue Berty, Dyna Xara and Fred Regis collided approaching the first turn, checking Blue Berty and Dyna Xara.  Galloping Nikki checked off Fred Regis on the first turn.  Fairly Legal, Galloping Nikki and Dyna Xara collided on the first turn, severely checking Galloping Nikki which checked off Blue Berty.  Silent Sandy checked off Fred Regis approaching the home turn.  Fred Regis checked off Octo Flash approaching the home turn.  Octo Flash and Dyna Xara collided on the home turn.  Fairly Legal crossed to the outside on the home turn, checking Octo Flash and severely checking Fred Regis and Smokey Jake; Smokey Jake pulled up as a result.  Blue Berty and Silent Sandy collided in the home straight.

Galloping Nikki was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr David Schwarz, the trainer of Galloping Nikki, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.

Smokey Jake was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg radius/ulna fracture, and was humanely euthanased.

Hard Luck Story was quick to begin.  Snap Loch, Brae's Bullet, Hyper Jet and Saddle Tank were slow to begin.  Saddle Tank and Hyper Jet collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn, checking Saddle Tank.  Snap Loch and Brae's Bullet collided approaching the home turn, checking Snap Loch.  Cruisy's Rose, Blusain Bolt, Charlotte Allen and Hyper Jet raced wide in the home straight.
