Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Taylor, the trainer of Semantic Shift regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Semantic Shift last raced on 10th July, 2017.  Mr. Taylor stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Fothergill, the trainer of Bambalam Tilly regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Bambalam Tilly last raced on 24th July, 2017.  Mr. Fothergill stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a cut to the right hind foot.  

Pictish Mark was a late scratching at 6.06pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness (dehydration). A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Dragon's Den and Todd Bless were quick to begin.  Will Dazzle and Stylish Billy collided soon after the start, checking Will Dazzle.  Open Mind checked off Stylish Billy approaching the home turn.  Stylish Billy and Dragon's Den collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds.
