Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. J Chignell, the trainer of Our Charlie Rose regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Our Charlie Rose last raced on 23/4/2017. Mr. Chignell stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left meatacarpal injury.
Zipping Moore was slow to begin. Voluptuous Ruby, Sapphire Hawke and Our Alpha Rose collided soon after the start. Little Big Girl, Our Charlie Rose, Temnota and Our Alpha Rose collided on the first turn checking Little Big Girl and Our Alpha Rose. Voluptuous Ruby and Zipping Moore collided in the back straight causing Zipping Moore to fall. Temnota eased on the second turn checking Our Charlie Rose causing Our Charlie Rose to race wide. Little Big Girl and Voluptuous Ruby collided on the second turn checking Voluptuous Ruby. Temnota and Jetspeed Jade collided on the home turn. Temnota and Our Charlie Rose collided on the home turn. Temnota eased on the home turn and in the home straight. Temnota, Our Alpha Rose and Jetspeed Jade collided in the home straight. Temnota eased approaching the winning post. Temnota and Jetspeed Jade collided approaching the winning post. Sapphire Hawke was held up for a run approaching the winning post.
Zipping Moore was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. K. Gorman the trainer of the greyhound Temnota regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn, on the home turn, in the home straight and approaching the winning post. Temnota was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 3, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Temnota with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mrs. Gorman pleaded guilty to the charge, Temnota was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
