Stewards spoke to Mr. J Chignell, the trainer of Our Charlie Rose regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Our Charlie Rose last raced on 23/4/2017. Mr. Chignell stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left meatacarpal injury.

Zipping Moore was slow to begin.  Voluptuous Ruby, Sapphire Hawke and Our Alpha Rose collided soon after the start.  Little Big Girl, Our Charlie Rose, Temnota and Our Alpha Rose collided on the first turn checking Little Big Girl and Our Alpha Rose.  Voluptuous Ruby and Zipping Moore collided in the back straight causing Zipping Moore to fall.  Temnota eased on the second turn checking Our Charlie Rose causing Our Charlie Rose to race wide.  Little Big Girl and Voluptuous Ruby collided on the second turn checking Voluptuous Ruby.  Temnota and Jetspeed Jade collided on the home turn.  Temnota and Our Charlie Rose collided on the home turn.  Temnota eased on the home turn and in the home straight. Temnota, Our Alpha Rose and Jetspeed Jade collided in the home straight.  Temnota eased approaching the winning post.  Temnota and Jetspeed Jade collided approaching the winning post.  Sapphire Hawke was held up for a run approaching the winning post. 

Zipping Moore was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. K. Gorman the trainer of the greyhound Temnota regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn, on the home turn, in the home straight and approaching the winning post.  Temnota was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 3, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Temnota with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mrs. Gorman pleaded guilty to the charge, Temnota was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

How's It Burning was a late scratching at 4.39pm on Veterinary advice (GAR 37)(fleas).  No stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance before any future nomination will be accepted.

Eagle Princess was quick to begin.  Seaton Star and Queen Dunroaming collided soon after the start checking Queen Dunroaming.  Seaton Star and Luna Evening collided approaching the first turn.  Shrek's Capri and Upta Ya Mate collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds, Luna Evening and Seaton Star were checked as a result.  Bronelly Buster and Eagle Princess collided approaching the home turn checking Eagle Princess.  Eagle Princess and Queen Dunroaming collided approaching the home turn.

Stewards noted that the the muzzle of Queen Dunroaming became dislodged during the running of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Neocleous the trainer of Bella Ha Ha regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Bella Ha Ha last raced on 02/04/17.  Mr. Neocleous stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right back muscle injury.

Midnight Marzy was slow to begin.  Lottie Biscotti and Marvellous Midge collided several times from soon after the start to approaching the first turn.  Lottie Biscotti and Bella Ha Ha collided approaching the first turn.  Lottie Biscotti was checked off Aston Upton on the first turn.  Marvellous Midge and Midnight Marzy collided on the first turn.  Lottie Biscotti and Cosmo Lass collided approaching the second turn checking Cosmo Lass which raced wide as a result.  Allen Zero and Marvellous Midge collided entering the back straight severely checking Marvellous Midge checking Midnight Marzy as a result. Cosmo Lass and Sprint Tee collided enteirng the home straight.

Allen Zero was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 6 on request by the trainer.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Akina Blitz was slow to begin.  Dr. Cadenza, Gold Odessa and Dr. Eleonora collided soon after the start.  Share and Dr. Eleonora collided approaching the first turn.  Dr. Cadenza and Akina Blitz collided on the first turn.  Dr. Eleonora was checked off Akina Blitz approaching the third turn.  Akina Blitz and Dr. Eleonora collided entering the home straight.

Dr. Cadenza was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn nail on a right hind toe, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Reatily Shintaro, Akina Dee Jay and Blue Alcatraz were slow to begin.  Blue Alcatraz, Akina Dee Jay and Reatily Shintaro collided on the first turn.  Duff Bale and Back Slapper collided approaching the second turn.  Akina Dee Jay and Reatily Shintaro collided on the third turn.  Back Slapper was checked off Taabinga Sprite approaching the home turn.  Akina Dee Jay and Reatily Shintaro collided approaching the home turn.

Permafrost was slow to begin.  Lakeview Harley was checked off Permafrost on the second turn.  Lakeview Harley and Permafrost collided entering the home straight.

Resplando and Mix Off Harmony were slow to begin.  Resplando and Wild Hunny collided approaching the first turn.  Wild Hunny, Resplando, Johnny Bullet and Mix Off Harmony collided on the first turn checking Resplando and Wild Hunny, Resplando and Wild Hunny fell as a result.  Grand Cayman and Taabinga Flash collided on the home turn.

Elswyk Max was quick to begin.  Gone Early, Usain Gilbert and Emperor Cruz collided soon after the start checking Usain Gilbert and Brindle Audrey.  Move That Energy and Gone Early collided on the first turn checking Gone Early and Emperor Cruz.  Emperor Cruz and Brindle Audrey collided in the back straight checking Brindle Audrey.  Gone Early crossed out and checked off Move That Energy approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Kyl's Me Mate, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Zipping Frank was slow to begin.  Big Bubbles and Daisy Patch collided approachng the first turn.  Tinderella and Ultimate Conor collided on the first turn checking Tinderella.  Big Bubbles was checked off Ultimate Conor on the first turn.  Tinderella was checked off Ultimate Conor approaching the home turn checking Zipping Frank and severely checking Tinderella which stumbled as a result.
