Steward's Report

Don's Gas was a late scratching at 6:16pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an ulcer on the right side of the thorax. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Fowler, the trainer of Henderson, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Henderson last raced on 16 March 2017. Mr. Fowler stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a change of kennel and in addition declared a new weight of 32.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Henderson last raced at 34.3kg.

Krazy Buzzard was slow to begin. Umar Allen and Dyna Ianto collided soon after the start. Charlotte Allen, Derivation, Umar Allen and Dyna Ianto collided approaching the first turn, checking Umar Allen. Derivation and Dyna Ianto collided on the first turn. Miss Dangerwood and Derivation collided on the home turn, checking both greyhounds. 

Krazy Buzzard was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the feet. No stand down period was imposed.
