Sam Whelan and Handsome Cosmo collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Sam Whelan. Ringading Sister and Sam Whelan collided on the first turn. Ringading Sister and Mon Mekki Kahn collided entering the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Bliss Street trialled over the 400m from box one, weight 33.2kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23.17, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.5L. Bliss Street was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Christopher Watson, the trainer of Hoof It, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Hoof It last raced on 23 September 2016. Mr Watson stated that the greyhound had sustained a right hind tendon injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Hoof It trialled over the 400m from box five, weight 29.4kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23.17, the greyhound won by a margin of 3.25L. Hoof It was cleared.
