Fine Wine was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right flexor tendon.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Boehm, the trainer of the greyhound Avatar Dodge regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Avatar Dodge was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right toe and right quadricep, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Avatar Dodge with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Boehm pleaded not guilty to the charge, Avatar Dodge was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Charlie Rocket was quick to begin.  Hone In and Spring Bobbi collided soon after the start, checking Spring Bobbi.  Marko Bale and Hone In collided soon after the start, checking Marko Bale.  Premier Ching, Hone In and Alice Allen collided approaching the first turn.  Premier Ching and Hone In collided in the home straight.  

Spring Bobbi was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the right front toes and a fractured toe.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Splash Da Cash and Six Green Thumbs were slow to begin.  Splash Da Cash and Six Green Thumbs collided soon after the start.  Splash Da Cash checked off Major Curly approaching the first turn.  Splash Da Cash galloped on the heels of Major Curly on the first turn, checking Major Curly.

Militant Man was a late scratching at 1.13pm due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Opalia Bale was slow to begin.  Barnes Banana and Avatar Thor collided soon after the start.  Avatar Thor checked off Macrory on the first turn.  Barnes Banana and Opalia Bale collided approaching the home turn.

Why Not Kylie and Wishing Angel were slow out and collided soon the start, checking Wishing Angel.  Wild Whip and Riverdale Sugar collided soon after the start, checking Wild Whip. Wild Whip checked off Zipping Sonic on the first turn.  Why Not Kylie raced wide in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mrs. M. Salvatore, the trainer of Surf's Magic regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Surf's Magic last raced on 23rd November, 2016.  Mrs. Salvatore stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a toe injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Surf's Magic trialled over the 390m from box 2, weight 33.6kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.64, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5 lengths.  Surf's Magic was Cleared.
