A pre-race sample was taken from Paua To Avoid.
Empress Lu and Paua To Avoid were slow to begin.
Thumb A Ride and Rocky Ravioli collided soon after the start. Matt Machine, Nangar range and Chevsta collided approaching the first turn checking Nangar Range. Nangar Range, Rocky Ravioli and Paua To Avoid collided on the first turn checking Nangar Range, Rocky Ravioli and severely checking Paua To Avoid. Empress Lu checked off Thumb A Ride on the second turn.
Paua To Avoid was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right metatarsal injury and an abrasion to the right hind foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
