Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Jordan regarding the direction that the greyhound Quick Finance be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

A sample was taken from Ivey's Affair - winner of the event.

After a confirmed telephone call from Mr. T. Boehmke the trainer of Atomic Kitten advising of a car breakdown, the greyhound was a late scratching at 6.22pm due to non arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. T. Boehmke was fined the sum of $100.  Mr. Boehmke was advised if he lodged the required documents within 48 hours Stewards would consider lifting the penalty.

Lady Bullseye was quick to begin.  Bejarano was slow to begin.  Lady Bullseye crossed out approaching the first turn checking Poppy Pete.  Bolta Neveelk was checked off Sharp Diamond on the first turn.  Lady Bullseye, Poppy Pete and Hot Tip collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn checking Poppy Pete.  Lady Bullseye was checked off Hot Tip on the second turn.  Lady Bullseye raced wide in the back straight.

Stewards spoke to Ms. H. Thompson regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Sharp Diamond.  Stewards directed that Sharp Diamond be boxed first in future events.

The 28 day stand down peroid for Atomic Kitten was   on proof of an RACV vehicle breakdown certificate.

Weeona Wilbur was slow to begin.  Annasay, Captain Jackie and Come Home collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds.  Weeona Bont and Awesome Catch collided several times approaching the first turn.  Captain Jackie, Awesome Catch and Come Home collided on the first turn checking Weeona Bont and severely checking Come Home.  Annasay raced wide entering the home straight.

Velocity Whisper was a late scratching at 6.02pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to illness.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Audacious Bell and Woodleigh Blaze were slow to begin.  Zipping Jacy and Cloverlay collided soon after the start checking Cloverlay.  Wilburn was checked off Ripplebrook Will on the first turn and collided with Zipping Jacy checking Zipping Jacy.  Woodleigh Blaze was checked off Audacious Bell approaching the home turn.  Audacious Bell was checked off Real Simple entering the home straight.

Satisfactory trial results (GAR 77A):-

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Haas the trainer of Burnt Orange regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Burnt Orange last raced on 03/10/16.  Mr. Haas stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to both back muscles.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Burnt Orange trialled over 400 metres from box 8, weight 31.9kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.32 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 2 lengths.  Burnt Orange was cleared.
