Lucky Love and Oh So Sleek were slow to begin. Inside Game, Knocka Feller and Sisso's Joy collided approaching the first turn checking Sisso's Joy. Sisso's Joy checked off Wharfies Girl approaching the first turn checking Sisso's Joy, Lucky Love and Oh So Sleek. Oh So Sleek galloped on the heels of Succession Plan on the first turn. Lucky Love galloped on the heels of Wharfies Girl approaching the home turn.

Lucky Love was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Handpass was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abraded right hind paw. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

An Out of Competition sample was taken from Miss Travers, engaged in this event, on 13th June 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Courts, kennel representative of Unite Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Unite Bale last raced on 3rd February 2018.  Ms. Courts stated that the greyhound was resuming from a hind leg sesamoid injury.

Unite Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right sartorius muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Surf In Vane, Werner Bale and Aeroplane Mo collided soon after the start checking Aeroplane Mo, Jimmy Got Style and Bye All. Pop Do It was slow to begin. Night Theory and Campeon collided approaching the first turn checking Night Theory. A sample was taken from Charlie Rocket, the winner of the event.

Rurik was a late scratching at 11:44am due to an injury to its hind leg (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards opened an inquiry into the late scratching of Ririk. Trainer, Ms. V. Wisener explained that she had inspected the greyhound prior to scratching time and the greyhound was sound and fit to race, however prior to loading the greyhound into the trailer to leave, she noticed that the greyhound had sustained an injury to its hind leg.  Stewards accepted Ms. Wisener's explanation.

Ark Lightning and Blackpool Doc were slow to begin.  Kyrgios and Zebo Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Kyrgios; Kyrgios tailed off as a result.  Why Not Kez, Zebo Bale and Blackpool Doc collided approaching the first turn checking Zebo Bale and Why Not Kez.
