Spring Ripper was slow to begin. Remain Seated, Arcup Usain and Taylor Bale collided soon after the start, checking Arcup Usain and Taylor Bale. Remain Seated and Kryptonian collided approaching the first turn, checking Kryptonian. Spring Ripper checked off Kryptonian approaching the home turn; Spring Ripper faltered and tailed off. Remain Seated raced wide in the home straight.
Spring Ripper was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg back muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
