Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Breakout.
Where's Lachie, Modern Jagger and Ivey's Affair were slow to begin. Dr. Dedra and Absolute Breeze collided soon after the start checking Absolute Breeze. Where's Lachie, Absolute Breeze and Moder jagger collided on the first turn checking Where's Lachie and Modern Jagger. Where's Lachie and Modern Jagger collided approaching the home turn checking Where's Lachie. Ivey's Affair raced wide on the home turn. Dr. Dedra crossed out in the home straight and raced wide for the remander of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. John Magri the representative for Come Home regarding the trainer history of the greyhound after Stewards noted that the greyhound had changed trainer four times between he and his wife Michelle Mallia-Magri from 06/02/18 and 22/06/18, most notably changing trainer from John Magri to Michelle Mallia-Magri on 22/06/18 (GAR 25). Mr Magri stated that they used the transfer to avoid being drawn into the same race. Stewards noted the explanation.
