Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Hoo Gur Affair.
Racketeer was slow to begin. Hoo Gur Affair, Envy Heist and Sable Sass collided soon after the start, checking Envy Heist. Racketeer checked off Dyna Vagrant approaching the first turn. Hoo Gur Affair checked off Navajo Bear on the first turn. Hoo Gur Affair and Huge Allen collided on the first turn. Hoo Gur Affair and Angel Dash collided entering the home straight. Dyna Vagrant eased and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the winning post, colliding with Navajo Bear and checking both greyhounds.
Stewards spoke to Mr Correy Grenfell, the trainer of the greyhound Dyna Vagrant, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Dyna Vagrant was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to a left foreleg wrist, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Dyna Vagrant with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Grenfell pleaded not guilty to the charge, Dyna Vagrant was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
