Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Moles, the trainer of I'm Neegan regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. I'm Neegan  last raced on 8th February 2018. Mr. Moles stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right hind toe injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Despard, the trainer of Lisa Pizza regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Lisa Pizza last raced on 18th June, 2017.  Mr. Despard stated that the greyhound had run a clearance trial on 19th April, 2018 and the greyhound was returning to racing from retirement.

Optima Semper was quick to begin.  Terrah Fire and Hurricane Cindy were slow to begin.  I'm Neegan and Lisa Pizza collided soon after the start.  Hurricane Billie and Contagious Miss collided approaching the first turn.  Terrah Fire and Jen's Magic collided on the first turn checking Terrah Fire and Hurricane Cindy.  Terrah Fire crossed out and raced wide approaching the home turn and in the home straight.  Jen's Magic checked off Contagious Miss approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Langenhoff, the trainer of Conjurer regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Conjurer last raced on 23rd February 2018.  Mr. Langenhoff stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a chipped bone left hind.

Elphaba Oz and Ima Ghost Buster were slow to begin.  Good Old Days crossed in soon after the start checking Casper's Fantasy and Conjurer.  Ashton Charlee and Dr. Chella collided soon after the start checking Dr. Chella and Casper's Fantasy.  Ashton Charlee and Good Old Days collided on the first turn checking Good Old Days and Dr. Chella and severely checking Ashton Charlee which lost considerable ground.  Dr. Chella and Ima Ghost Buster collided on the second turn.  Dr. Chella marred Casper's Fantasy in the home straight checking Casper's Fantasy.

Ashton Charlee was vetted folowing the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a cervico-thoracic injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Chella was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Mr. McMahon declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon, the representative of the greyhound Dr. Chella regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dr. Chella with marring.  Mr. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge, Dr. Chella was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lieu Knee Annie was slow to begin.  Surfonic Pearl and Unique Spirit collided approaching the first turn.  Lollipop and Unique Spirit collided on the first turn.  We Love Spolly and Fairytale Ending collided approaching the home turn.  Lollipop checked off Unique Spirit approaching the home turn.

Ghostly Terrah and Tarquin Bob collided soon after the start.  Ghostly Terrah, Tarquin Bob, Brandi Belle and Galloping Bluboy collided approaching the firt turn checking Brandi Belle.  Misty's Boy and Mt. View Gift collided on the first turn.  Galloping Bluboy and Ghostly Terrah collided on the second turn.  Ghostly Terrah checked off Mt. View Gift on the second turn checking Ghostly Terrah and Galloping Bluboy.  Ghostly Terrah raced wide in the home straight.

Magic Maya, Cashino, Tiger Dusty and Shrek's Rusty were slow to begin.  Magic Maya, Cashino and Tiger Dusty collided soon after the start.  Hardy's Banjo and Fabulous Gee collided approaching the first turn.  Magic Maya, Shrek's Typhoon and Fabulous Gee collided on the first turn checking Fabulous Gee, Magic Maya and Cashino and severely checking Tiger Dusty.  Cashino checked off Magic Maya on the first turn.

Shrek's Typhoon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Oakmont Whisper and Zoobie were slow to begin.  Dr. Eleonora, Miss Legality and Fifty Dollar collided approaching the first turn.  Miss Legality and Dr. Eleonora collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Eleonora.  Fifty Dollar checked off Jesse's Typhoon on the first turn.  Milly's Choice and Zoobie collided in the back straight.

Black Bindi was quick to begin.  Scrumble, Hello Nimble and In Dee Genes collided on the first turn checking Toffee Lady and severely checking Scrumble which fell as a result severely checking Parie Shiraz; Parie Shiraz lost considerable ground as a result.  In Dee Genes and Dr. Condor collided in the back straight. 

Scrumble was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the right hind leg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Parie Shiraz was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 11,  it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Black Shirley, Dr. Luvdisc and Philo Bale were slow to begin.  Raging Inferno and Midnight Kebab collided on the first turn checking Midnight Kebab, Busta Voe and Lektra Rival.  Lektra Rival checked off Busta Voe entering the back straight.  Midnight Kebab and Lektra Rival collided in the back staight.  Lektra Rival clipped the heels of Midnight Kebab approaching the home turn.  Raging Inferno and Philo Bale collided on the home turn.

Timeless Rose was a late scratching at 11.31am on Monday 28th May 2018, due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lightning Lil was slow to begin.  It's Debatable, Ninetymile Hawk, Liberty Diamond and Hello Mr Duck collided approaching the first turn checking Peaked, Hello Mr Duck and It's Debatable.  Peaked and Hello Mr Duck collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Hello Mr Duck checked off Peaked in the back straight.  Hello Mr Duck stumbled on the third turn.

La Reina was a late scratching at 14:21 due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. B. George was fined the sum of $100.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Sapphire Hawke trialled over the 315m from box 2, weight 31.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.42, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6.50 lengths.  Sapphire Hawke was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) -  Stewards spoke to Mrs. K. Fogarty, the trainer of Arctic Iggy regarding th length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Arctic Iggy last raced on 27th November, 2017.  Mrs Fogarty stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a left stopper bone injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A,  Arctic Iggy trialled over the 315m from box 4,  weight 34.6kgs,  the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.42, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10 lengths.   Arctic Iggy was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Setelia trialled over the 315m from box 8, weight 27.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.42, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.75 lengths. Setelia was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Joe's Dolly trialled over the 315m from box 1, weight 25.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18:42,  the greyhound won by a margin of 6.50 lengths. Joe's Dolly was Cleared.
