Tahleia Brae, Hard Luck Story and Destini Baby were quick to begin.
Hard Luck Story checked off Milly's Choice entering the back straight, checking Destini Baby. Jacey Allen checked off Destini Baby entering the back straight. Last Princess checked off Milly's Choice in the back straight. Last Princess and Hard Luck Story collided in the back straight. Last Princess checked off Milly's Choice approaching the home turn. Stir Fry Shrimp eased in the home straight and collided with Milly's Choice as a result.
Stewards spoke to Mr Joshua Formosa, the kennel representative for the greyhound Stir Fry Shrimp, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Stir Fry Shrimp was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left shoulder joint, a ten-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Stir Fry Shrimp with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Stir Fry Shrimp was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
