A pre-race sample was taken from Slipperette.
Vectis Campinae and Eliza Dee were slow to begin. Mia Shan and Spotted Opal collided soon after the start, checking Mia Shan. Dorset Dasha and Spotted Opal collided approaching the first turn, checking Spotted Opal. Slipperette crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Dorset Dasha and Spotted Opal. Dorset Dasha galloped on the heels of Slipperette approaching the home turn; causing Dorset Dasha to become unbalanced and severely checking Mia Shan.
