Stewards spoke to David Geall the trainer of Corleone King regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Corleone King last raced on December 12 2017. Mr Geall stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a right hock injury.
A pre race sample was taken from Shayna Powers.
Trouper and Corleone King collided soon after the start, checking Trouper. Tiempo Dinero, Trouper and Kadabra Monelli collided approaching the first turn, checking Kadabra Monelli. Rumble Drive and Corleone King collided on the first turn. Trouper and Corleone King collided approaching the home turn. Galactic Panther raced wide on the home turn.
