A pre race sample was taken from Sweet Spud.
Jan's Star and Arlecchino collided soon after the start. Theatrics Show and Jan's Star collided approaching the first turn. Rocketness, Koitsenko, Destini Agtitator, Theatrics Show and Sweet Spud collided on the first turn, checking Rocketness, Destini Agitator and Theatrics Show. Arlecchino checked off Jan's Star on the first turn, and fell as a result. Maximum Bliss and Jan's Star collided on the home turn, checking Maximum Bliss. Destini Agitator and Sweet Spud collided in the home straight.
Arlecchino was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a neck injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
