Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Collins, the representative of Zipping King regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Zipping King last raced on 19th September 2017. Mr. Collins stated that the greyhound was returning to race after injuries to both its stopper ligaments. Mr. Collins also declared a new weight of 37.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Zipping King last raced at 36.0kgs.
At the Trainers request, Hearing De Novo underwent a veterinary examination pre-race. The greyhound was passed fit to race.
A pre-race sample was taken from Makikos.
Lektra Timon and Hearing De Novo were quick to begin. Exford Lumpy and In The Net collided soon after the start. Lektra Flame, Lektra Timon and Cette To Dance collided approaching the first turn. Lektra Flame checked off Cette To Dance on the first turn checking Zipping King and Exford Lumpy. Makikos checked off Cette To Dance approaching the home turn. Exford Lumpy checked off Lektra Timon approaching the home turn and raced wide as a result.
