Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Sisco Ride.
Oshkosh Jay was quick to begin. Sisco Ride was slow to begin.
Blucifer checked off Oshkosh Jay soon after the start. Idabelle Bale and Blucifer collided soon after the start. Sisco Ride, Stylish Chief and Idabelle Bale collided on the first turn. Jailor Bale and Rebel Lad collided several times on the first turn. Xtreme Purpose and Stylish Chief collided on the first turn. Stylish Chief checked off the heels of Xtreme Purpose on the first turn and collided with Idabelle Bale. Blucifer faltered through the first turn and tailed off. Sisco Ride and Rebel Lad collided approaching the home turn.
Blucifer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey), right gracilis (back) and both pectoral (chest) muscles. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Ms Carol Brinsley after she kennelled the greyhound Jailor Bale in the incorrect kennel following the event.
