Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Hutch.
The start time for this event was delayed by approximately one minute due to operational matters.
Osakalaka and Ready And Armed collided soon after the start, checking Ready And Armed. Wicked Pedro and Isen Allen collided soon after the start, checking Isen Allen. Ready And Armed and Isen Allen collided approaching the first turn. Xava Allen, Osakalaka and Hutch collided on the first turn. Isen Allen and Gehring Bale raced wide on the first turn. Osakalaka checked off Hutch approaching the second turn, checking Osakalaka, Ready And Armed and Wicked Pedro. Wicked Pedro and Gehring Bale collided on the second turn, checking both greyhounds. Hutch fell entering the catching pen.
Hutch was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left gracilis (back) muscle and left shoulder. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.
