Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to G Condon, the representative of Escobark regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Escobark last raced on 20 October 2017. G Condon stated that the greyhound had recently changed kennels.

G Condon, trainer of Escobark declared a new weight of 26.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Escobark last raced at 28.6kgs.

Iron First and ALmani Jet were slow to begin.  Courage Crest and Tinker Buzz collided at the 250m mark.  Iron Fist and Almani Jet collided at the 225m mark and again at the 200m mark.  Almani Jet and Maggie Mikado collided at the 100m mark.  Courage Crest and Tinker Buzz collided approaching the winning post.

Got It Right was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left hip, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Escobark was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sacro-iliac injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to M Galea, the representative of Got It Right regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start.
