Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr C. Newman, Trainer of Quick Collision, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Quick Collision last raced on 13 November, 2017. Mr Newman stated that the greyhound had been in season.
A pre-race sample was taken from Unusable.
Dragon's Den and Blue Magnum collided approaching the first turn checking Dragon's Den which tailed off. Quick Collision, It's All Bolony and Unusable collided on the first turn checking Unusable and All Inn Houston. Unusable checked off It's All Bolony approaching the home turn.
Dragon's Den was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Meeting Comments:
Track Curator, Mr B. Groom, advised stewards that the track was medium harrowed on 27 March, 2018.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr A. Ferguson, the trainer of Specific regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Specific last raced on 15 April, 2017. Mr Ferguson stated that the greyhound had a change of kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Specific trialled over the 450m from box 1, weight 35.6kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.72, the greyhound won by a margin of 4.25 lengths. Specific was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results (PEDS & Blinkers) - Lochinvar Rox trialled over the 450m from box 8, weight 30.9kg,the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.The time of the trial was 25.72, the greyhound was beaten by 10.25 lengths. Lochinvar Rox was Cleared To Race In Blinkers.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Revin Kevin trialled over the 390m from box 7, weight 28.9kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4.The time of the trial was 22.9, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 lengths. Revin Kevin was Cleared.
