Fawn Eruptor and Full Of Dough were slow to begin.  Deja Vu Rock crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Fawn Eruptor.  Marlucky Day and Irinka Jenna colldied soon after the start and again at the 300m mark, checking both greyhounds.  Irinka Jenna crossed to the rail approaching the 250m mark, checking Fawn Eruptor.  Marlucky Day and News Print collided at the 250m mark.  Marlucky Day checked off News Print approaching the 150m mark.  Poppy Yaala and News Print collided at the 100m mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr Garry Selkrig, the trainer of Super Serena regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Super Serena last raced on 26 November 2017 and is returning from a seasonal spell.  

Weeona Bonnie, Smoke Signals and Sweet Strike collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds.  Smoke Signals and Sweet Strike collided at the 300m mark.  Matomax and Weeona Bonnie collided at the 300m mark.  Matomax and Weeona Bonnie crossed to the outside at the 250m mark.  Smoke Signals and Sweet Strike collided at the 250m mark.  Staggerism, Super Serena and Bear's Legacy collided at the 150m mark, checking Super Serena and Bear's Legacy.  Staggerism checked off Bear's Legacy at the 50m mark and collided with Super Serena.

Superior Scotch and Turfman collided soon after the start.  Cailah Shakey, Superior Scotch and Turfman collided at the 250m mark, checking all three greyhounds.  Sudoku Mercedes, Allen Quintus and Challis Magic collided at the 250m mark.  Shake The Night, Sudoku Mercedes and Allen Quintus collided at the 200m mark, checking Sudoku Mercedes.  Down Mexico Way and Turfman collided approaching the 150m mark.  Shake The Night and Challis Magic collided at the 150m mark.  Down Mexico Way, Turfman and Sudoku Mercedes collided at the 150m mark.

Stewards spoke to D Condon regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Superior Scotch.  Stewards directed that Superior Scotch be boxed first in future events.

Down Mexico Way was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration above the right stopper, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Rocky Rooster, Beast and Unexplainable were slow to begin.  Challis Sprite and Unexplainable collided approaching the 250m mark.  Beast checked off Challis Sprite at the 250m mark.  Wazza Hawk and Vitaliser collided approaching the 100m mark.

Supraspinatus was a late scratching at 8:07am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Hurunui Jack was a late scratching at 7:02am. After speaking with Trainer Mr David Agius it was established that the greyhound was a late scratching due to a car break down. Mr Agius was advised to present proof to Stewards by means of relevant documentation. Pending receipt of this the appropriate penalties will be applied.

Fred Dagg was slow to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start.

A pre race sample was taken from I've Got Bills.

Headspace was quick to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Bugs Boloney and Not Loitering collided soon after the start.  Raging Inferno checked off I've Got Bills at the 250m mark.

Stewards spoke to Handler Mr Andrew Dignam, regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Raging Inferno in this event. Stewards issued a warning to Mr Dignam and also placed a warning against Raging Inferno for its boxing manners. GAR 51.

Joe's Dolly was a late scratching at 7:01am. After speaking with Trainer Mr David Agius it was established that the greyhound was a late scratching due to a car break down. Mr Agius was advised to present proof to Stewards by means of relevant documentation. Pending receipt of this the appropriate penalties will be applied.

Just Blacky and Fear Fire were slow to begin.  Just Blacky raced wide approaching the 250m mark.

This race was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to a Waterlea race running behind schedule.

Who's Got Class was slow to begin.  Cullquin Bomber and Two Seasons collided approaching the 300m mark.  White Diamond, Who's Got Class and Big Deal collided at the 300m mark, checking White Diamond and Who's Got Class.  Two Seasons and Leave Me Out collided at the 250m mark.  White Diamond faltered at the 150m mark and lost ground.

White Diamond was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left thigh and spike wounds to the right hind foot, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Snip Snap was a late scratching at 7:00am. After speaking with Trainer Mr David Agius it was established that the greyhound was a late scratching due to a car break down. Mr Agius was advised to present proof to Stewards by means of relevant documentation. Pending receipt of this the appropriate penalties will be applied.

Captain Marvel was slow to begin.  Blackjack's Back crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Startron, Dee Dee One and Blackjack's Back.

Stewards spoke to Mrs Marleen Schmidt, the representative of Invictus Cindy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Invictus Cindy last raced on 16 January 2018 and is returning from a left hind toe injury.

Blazin' About went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Emerley Mee Too and Lightning Parade collided at the 250m mark.  Emerley Mee Too, Lightning Parade and Invictus Cindy collided approaching the 200m mark, checking all three greyhounds.  Emerley Mee Too and Lightning Parade collided at the 100m mark.

Invictus Cindy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Tricky Trey was a late scratching at 6:20pm due to a right wrist injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Vincent Mileto, the trainer of Proven Legacy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Proven Legacy last raced on 23 December 2017 and is returning after a seasonal spell.
