Chochlik was a late scratching at 6.05pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Lucille Dior crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Venus Allen and Quest For Glory.  Schatzie Armo and Alpha Venus collided on the first turn.  Schatzie Armo and Alpha Venus collided on the home turn, checking Ace Allen and Queen Ophelia and severely checking Schatzie Armo.  Queen Ophelia and Quest For Glory collided in the home straight.

Quest For Glory was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injured an left elbow, left chest muscle, right thigh and right hip, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mrs. Mallia-Magri regarding the racing manners of Quest For Glory in the home straight. Acting on their own observations, viewing the official replays and taking evidence from Mrs. Mallia-Magri Stewards determined that Quest For Glory shifted in slightly and bumped with Queen Opehlia and lost its momentum. As such no further action was taken. 

Schatzie Armo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right biceps and spike wounds to the left hind leg.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Eminence, Ledgerwood Road and Destini Cowboy collided soon after the start.  Dream Boulevard, Eminence and Ledgerwood Road collided approaching the first turn, checking Eminence and Ledgerwood Road.  Eminence and Ledgerwood Road collided on the first turn, checking Ledgerwood Road and causing Ledgerwood Road to fall.  Boona Lad and Aeroplane Indy collided entering the home straight.

Charity Wish was slow to begin.  Garick Olivander, Too Fly Man, Bye All, Mepunga Gal and Seabrook Eb collided soon after the start, checking Bye All, Mepunga Gal and Seabrook Eb.  Too Fly Man and Mepunga Gal collided approaching the second turn, checking Too Fly Man.

Stewards spoke to R Drew, the trainer of Stirling Defence regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Stirling Defence last raced on 1 December 2017. R Drew stated that the greyhound was returning from an injured right achilles.

Stirling Defence was slow to begin.  Stirling Defence checked off Backin' Bully soon after the start.  Dyna Jacinta and Dyna Uni collided on the first turn, checking Dyna Jacinta and Idabelle Bale.  Backin' Bully checked off Zipping Riot on the first turn.  Dyna Uni and Zipping Riot collided on the home turn and again approaching the winning post.

Rido's Ace was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spke wounds to the right hock, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Mrs A Dailly, trainer of Dyna Hadria declared a new weight of 28.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dyna Hadria last raced at 29.4kg.
