A pre-race sample was taken from Dealer Wins.
This event was hand started.
Scrappy Doo, Dealer Wins and Hooded Troyer were slow to begin. Hooded Troyer and Dyna Jenaya collided approaching the first turn. Scrappy Doo checked off Vane Power approaching the first turn. Scrappy Doo checked off Hooded Troyer on the first turn. Dealer Wins and Vane Power collided approaching the home turn. Vane Power checked off Hooded Troyer on the home turn. Scrappy Doo marred Vane Power on the home turn.
Scrappy Doo was vetted, and revetted following event seven. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor laceration over the right hock. No veterinary stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Gerry Orr, the trainer of the greyhound Scrappy Doo, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Scrappy Doo with marring. Mr Orr pleaded guilty to the charge, Scrappy Doo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
