Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Aztec Warrior; a post-race sample was subsequently collected from the greyhound which finished third in the event.
Banyuatis and Neb's Shark were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Aztec Warrior checked off Midnight Ruby soon after the start. Midnight Ruby, Braemar Bossy and Red Queen collided at the 250m mark. Banyuatis crossed to the outside at the 200m mark and raced wide for the remainder of the event. Winlock Barbara and Braemar Bossy collided at the 150m mark, checking Braemar Bossy.
Banyuatis was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin McMahon regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Neb's Shark as well as trainer Mr Kevin Ward. Stewards directed that Neb's Shark be boxed first in future events.
